Leave behind the traffic and crowds of Myrtle Beach and treat yourself to the serenity and feel of the old Scottish golfing tradition on Aberdeen Country Club Golf Course’s 27-hole links-style course. The course is modeled after the Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, Scotland's sixth oldest golf course.

Colonial Charters features a number of memorable holes defined by mature hardwoods and strategically placed water hazards. The 6,427 yard layout features two iconic green-side waterfalls and the tree-lined fairways reward golfers that are accurate off the tee. Water hazards are abundant and require golfers to work the ball as they navigate the holes from fairway to green.
This 18-hole golf course is consistently ranked in the Top 100 courses in the nation across virtually all major golf media outlets and has played host to numerous high-end golf tournaments including the PGA Senior Tour and the USGA Women's Open, to name a few.
Founders Club at Pawleys Island
Located in quaint, quiet Pawleys Island, America’s oldest seaside resort, the Founders Club at Pawleys Island immediately impresses you with the striking beauty of the 9th hole, the first hole you see as you enter the golf club. A beautiful, well-laid-out hole, it makes a strong statement and sparks the most comments from visitors. And it sets the tone for what is to come.
The list of prestigious accolades has grown steadily in the past decade. Grande Dunes Resort Club is an 18-hole golf course which in 2009 was named the “National Golf Course of the Year” by the National Golf Course Owners Association of America.
Willard Byrd’s original design, one applicable to the well-rounded, won’t beat up most players. It also isn’t crafted toward the big hitters, measuring at less than 6,700 yards from the back tees. That’s how the golf course opened in the 1960s, and that’s how it remains 51 years later. The dogleg-happy round includes significant bends on at least eight different holes, forcing players to make the most of their tee and second shots. After that, forgiving approach zones open up the possibility of bump-and-run golf and negating many of the issues associated with small greens.
Set just outside the heart of Myrtle Beach in Longs, this course blends the feel of East and West Coast play, starting with the environment. The Golden Bear minimized the effect Long Bay would have on the location, helping it recently garner 4.5 Stars from Golf Digest’s “Places to Play.” Nicklaus and Co. kept many of the existing dogwoods, pines and maples along the course, and crystal-blue streams cut through several holes.
